For temperature comparison calibrations, PTC Metrology® uses primarily Hart Scientific baths, blocks and a Hart furnace. We use several different techniques to minimize uncertainties while maximizing efficiency to keep the costs as low as possible without compromising quality. PTC Metrology is the laboratory of choice for many of our customers because they know that they can depend on us for correct, complete, and on-time calibrations at reasonable prices.

PTC Metrology® uses different temperature sources over a wide range to provide the highest quality and reliability on all of its calibration certificates. The temperature sources for calibration are listed in the table below.

NIST/A2LA Accredited Certification 3 Points (within the range of 0°C to 300°C)

This certification will satisfy most quality requirements by providing NIST traceable as received and as returned calibration results of the UUT ( unit under test) . The calibration points will be of PTC's choice and will include three points across the UUT's scale. In addition to the readings, certifications will include a statement of uncertainty, laboratory conditions, and information on the primary standards. Price $115.00 per instrument within the range of 0°C to 300°C see table for other temperature points.

 

NIST Traceable Certification (non A2LA without logged points)

This certification is best for customers needing only calibration traceability to NIST without the added cost of logging the calibration results, A2LA accredited certification, or meeting the requirements of ISO 17025. Although no specific points will be logged, UUT's referred to will be calibrated at three or more points over the UUT's range. This certification will not list any adjustments or out of tolerance conditions. Certification prices do not include labor, adjustment, repairs, or replacement parts. $70.00 per instrument.
